Fresh International Market was started in 2012 Lansing, Michigan by Bowen Kou. Bowen and his team are a bunch of dedicated guys who wish to bring vibrant life style and the BEST authentic flavor to their community. Since they opened the first store, they put in tireless hours of work to supply their customers with authentic, quality products that allow them to recreate the tastes they grew up with. Til now, 5 stores are serving our communities across the Midwest and are still expanding. We are expecting our 6th and 7th stores in The goal for FIM is simple: Be the best destination for global flavors in town without a VISA!
2012
In April of 2012, Mr.Kou bought an Asian Food market in East Lansing Michigan. It was only 2000 square feet employing three staff. The products sold were drys goods with produce on weekends.
A van was purchased to drive on Friday to Chicago at 3 a.m. Which was then filled with produce and groceries. It was not until arriving back at 3 p.m. that the store was opened every Friday.

2015
In October 2015 a second location opened for business in West Lafayette IN.
2018
Turbo Capital Inc was established in Schaumburg IL as a holding and parenting company for the purpose of managing the tremendously expanded existing and on-going stores.
2017
Our fifth store was opened in June 2017 in Champaign IL. The Company officially incorporated as Fresh International Market. "华夏超市"
Plans began in October of 2017 for Fresh International Market to open a new location in Schaumburg IL.
2019
The Grand Opening is on May 24th marking the 5th Fresh International Market across MI, IN, IL. The new store is 30,000 square feet employing more than 50 employees.
2020
East Lansing store started the renovation. Expected to finish by the end of 2020.

2021
East Lansing location finished renovation in January 2021.
New Store-Fresh International Raleigh in North Carolina starts remodeling in December 2021

2022
New Store-Fresh International LINCOLN in Nebraska starts remodeling in September 2022

Successfully joined the Paris Baguette bakery chain after negotiations in August 2020.
Successfully signed a contract and established a partnership with Baoshiyi Bun House in January 2021.
Successfully signed a sublease and established a joint venture with Liuyishou Hot Pot in October 2022.
2023
Expecting our 6th New Store-Fresh International LINCOLN in Nebraska finish remodeling in 2023.
